Root Cause Analysis

As the name suggests, root cause analysis (RCA) is the process of arriving at the heart, or the root cause, of any event, usually an event of concern. Root cause analysis helps managers determine why the problem occurred in the first place.

Example

Suppose we want to analyze the growth of Market Sales of our brand on a for last 2 quarters.

Entering the query on Explorazor, it is observed that Market Sales value has been declining in 'Andhra Pradesh'. We decide to investigate further and diagnose where the actual problem lies

Here’s how we do it:

  1. Right-click over the metric, then click on RCA

  2. Now you can see the RCA screen

  3. Drilling down further through different data fields, we take a look at which sub brands that has caused the decline in Market Sales

  4. Further drill-down reveals which SKU was the primary cause of the decline.

As demonstrated above, diagnosing the root cause of any event is extremely easy on Explorazor. Once the root cause is identified, you can then take the appropriate remedial/corrective action without wasting time and effort.

The above was an example of Market Sales. Users can similarly conduct drill-downs across different dimensions such as products, distributors, etc.

Additionally:

You can also look at the performance of different metrics for any field item by simply clicking on it. The information on the left panel updates as per your selection.

Further, the option to sort in ascending and descending order is also available
